South Slope Cheese Co is a European-style artisanal cheese and charcuterie shop in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC established in 2019.
Our offerings include 90+ local, international, and domestic cheeses, 350 perfectly paired wines, gourmet pantry items, grab-and-go picnic charcuterie boxes, custom charcuterie trays, and dozens of custom curated gift options.
Our Story
We're locals. We're cheese lovers. We're passionate about this community.
The four of us had a dream. We've known one another for nearly 25 years and we often dreamed of doing something meaningful together. Kurt and Emily had built a beautiful shop and we had become frequent guests. When Kurt mentioned that he and Emily had been dreaming of retirement, we couldn't help but see this as a sign. In July of 2023, we jumped in and we now begin our days 'on the other side of the counter'. Expect a lot love, good music, passion for exceptional food, and community when you visit South Slope Cheese Company. Abby, Maria, Nate, and Jeremiah are in the shop daily. See you on the slope!
